Corinthians seal semi-final spot

Corinthians became the first side to qualify for the semi-finals of the Warehouse Fitness Floodlit Cup with a 11-0 victory over DHSOB.

Leading 6-0 at half-time, Melissa Bell (two), Lisa Costain (two), Zoe McCann, Helen Thomas, Bronte Skelcher-Maxwell, Sammy Caughey, Casey Halsall, Chloe Fick (penalty) and an own goal were responsible for the one-sided scoreline.

Peel secured their first win of this season’s Cup following a 4-1 victory over Castletown.

Leading 2-1 at the break, Nicola Naden (two), Kayleigh Greggor and Clare Hall scored for the westerners.

The southern riposte came via a Kelly Watson strike.
