THE ladies’ wardrobes of the of the Isle of Man are revealing some exceptional discoveries, with high-end designer clothes now finding their way into the humble heights of Parliament Street in Ramsey.
A new business, opened this week, is asking ladies to bring their unwanted quality clothing, jewellery, shoes and accessories into their shop to sell - splitting the purchase price with the shop.
However, the sheer quality of the items arriving at “Winnie Kelly’s” has surprised the owners Karen and Cyril Kelly.
“We always knew there would be some high quality items brought into the shop, but we have to admit that we have been amazed by some of the truly beautiful pieces of clothing, jewellery and shoes which have arrived in the last week,” said Karen Kelly.
The top names in fashion, jewellery and couture feature all of the really big names, including Ribkoff, Ugg, Karen Millen, Monsoon, Gina Bacconi, Sandwich, Part Two, amongst a huge range. Towards the end of their first week the shop also saw the unexpected arrival of a mink coat, a stole and various Guess handbags, one of which is a limited edition to Macy's of New York.
“Winnie Kelly’s” sells items brought into the premises, but also sells a range of new ladies’ apparel, shoes, jewellery and accessories as well as excellent Christmas Gift ideas. They also stock brand new elegant evening wear, exclusive prom dresses and all accessories available at very competitive prices.
“It has been a pleasure to see so many people bringing in such amazing items,” added Karen, “and lots of genuine bargains have been snapped up.
“We have created this business to be a double-winner, for both the person who brings an item into the shop, and also for the person who gets a bargain.
“Every day something amazing arrives on the counter. It has been a real eye-opener.”
