Isle of Man airline won't replace Flybe, says Chief Minister

The Chief Minister is calling for a calm measured approach after Flybe announced it will shut its Isle of Man base next March with the loss of 49 jobs.

Local staff facing redundancy are seeking talks with the Manx government following the airline’s decision.

There will also be redundancies in 12 other cities in the UK and the Channel Islands as part of a cost-cutting plan.

Allan Bell hopes to talk to airline management but says the Guernsey government approach to set up its own airline is not necessarily the route to follow.Clip 1
