Police have launched an investigation following a Combination One Football match on Saturday between Corinthians and Laxey at Ballafletcher.
A Corinthians player received a red card during the game.
A Laxey player was injured during the incident but the extent of the injury hasn't been confirmed.
Police have told Manx Radio they are looking into the matter along with the Isle of Man Football Association.
Corinthians say the player will not be selected for the foreseeable future and the F.A. is currently considering the referee's report.
