Glen Helen Now Open

by isleofman.com 22nd November 2013
The Forestry Directorate is pleased to announce that the footpath to Rhenass waterfall in Glen Helen has re-opened.

Chairman of the Forestry Directorate, Brenda Cannell MHK said “Our staff and contractors have been working hard to clear trees which were damaged during the snows of March 2013.  This means that the main path to the north of the river past the Swiss House restaurant can now be used up to the waterfall.  A circular route back is not yet open, but should be soon, as tree work continues in the upper-most reaches of the glen and on paths to the south of the river.”

“Due to the work and recent rains, paths are muddy.  Work will be done to improve path surfaces, but in the meantime, please take care and observe any signs and notices”
