A new principal has been appointed at Isle of Man College of Further and Higher Education.
Sandhurst-educated Geoff Draper will bring experience from a 30 year career in the British Army when he takes up the role in January.
Geoff Draper who achieved the rank of army Colonel, has been Principal of a Joint Service Military College and deputy director of Army Education.
He was seconded to the United Nations as a military observer in the former Soviet republic of Georgia.
Educated at Liverpool and Manchester universities before graduating from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Mr Draper has been involved in education and training throughout his career - his teaching experience ranging from vocational studies to post-graduate programmes.
He's also held the post of principal at the Royal National College for the Blind.
Mr Draper will succeed Professor Ronald Barr at the helm of Isle of Man College, which currently educates 5000 full and part-time students with a budget of ?11 million.
Mr Draper says he's delighted at the opportunity to build on the college's 'excellent reputation' serving the Island's community.
