Bacchas A edge close to double

by isleofman.com 27th November 2013
Bacchas A are one victory away from a league and cup double.

That’s after they trashed Celts in Tuesday night’s Bridge Water Cup semi-final.

The newly crowned mixed league champions ran out 9-1 winners.

The prolific Andy Whiting led the way with four goals.

Kim Carney hit a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Sharon Pope and Sosie Cox.

Hannah Dixon netted the Celts consolation.

In the Mixed Plate, a Grahame Brown brace fired Castletown Cushags to a 2-1 victory over Ramsey Rookies.

Dan Stevenson replied for the northerners.

Saracens Sabres were also too strong for Ramsey Ravens - Andrew Winstanley (three), Dave Horan and Stacey Meakin the scorers in a 5-0 win.
