A Manxman has completed a 14 year challenge to scale the highest peaks in each of the world's seven continents.
Police officer Phil Drowley has just returned from Papua New Guinea where he scaled Carstenz Pyramid, becoming one of an elite group of just 230 climbers to have reached all seven summits.
While completing a long-time personal challenge, Phil was also raising money for Ronald McDonald House Isle of Man Family and Friends, a local group which provides support and accommodation for families of sick children being treated at Alder Hey Hospital in Merseyside.

And not content with the seven peaks, Phil has also managed an eighth summit, as there has been dispute among the climbing fraternity for some time about the 'Carstenz List' as it's known:
