Rare cattle can be viable, says farmer

by isleofman.com 27th November 2013
Rare cattle which have arrived on the Island to protect the breed from extinction could one day produce gourmet food.

So says Paul Davis, the farmer who’s creating a safe haven on the Isle of Man for White Park cattle at Ballaloaghtan Farm.

The idea is to keep a stock on the Island in case the breed is ever wiped out by disease in the UK.

Paul says the aim is to eventually produce a different sort of beef than people may be used to, in order to ensure the cattle’s survival:Clip 1
