'Smile' to take over NHS dental care in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 8th December 2013

A new NHS dental provider in the north of the Island will begin treating patients on waiting lists from the new year.
The Department of Health has confirmed Smile Dental Care will provide the Ramsey Cottage Hospital-based service from 20 January 2014.
Health Minister David Anderson says Smile will be offering extended opening hours and will take patients waiting to see an NHS dentist, with priority given to those living in the north.
All patients who currently attend the clinic will be automatically transferred to Smile Dental Care.

NHS salaried dental staff currently working from Ramsey Cottage Hospital will be redeployed to the department's Douglas clinics.
