Event to steer corporates 'from radical to responsible'

by isleofman.com 11th December 2013

Isle of Man based tax, audit and professional services firm Deloitte hosts a presentation in Douglas (11 Dec) focusing on the challenges facing corporates in the rapidly changing international tax landscape.
With the title From Radical to Repsonsible, the event will focus on the drive towards 'responsible' tax planning.
Deloitte has invited Treasury Minister Eddie Teare to brief delegates on how the Isle of Man has responded politically to changes in the international agenda, from the implications of the FATCA agreement to commitments made at G20.
Chief Financial Officer Malcolm Couch will discuss more technical aspects of agreements signed by the Manx government on automatic exchange of information and beneficial ownership.
Third panel member Deloitte partner Bill Dodwell who leads the firm's tax policy group, will offer thoughts on how corporates based in the Island can protect their reputation and fit into the international playing field while remaining competitive.
The presentation and panel event runs from 4.30 until 6.30pm this evening at the Manx Museum.
