Cuplay Callow Ramsey Men's Darts results

by isleofman.com 13th January 2014

Tuesday saw the first league action after the Christmas break and apart from a couple of outstanding performances the standard was generally poor, none more so than at the Swan where the second-placed Swan played third-placed Commie Raven. A great result for the Swan as they ran out 8-1 winners but to be fair they could have lost 7-2 as seven games went 2-1 and were all the doubles. Star man for the Swan was Wayne Harrison hitting 1 105 finish and a fine 146 finish on his way to a 15 darter and the new leader in the highest finish competition. Phil Teare was the only winner for the Commie also hitting a 180 on his birthday.

Plough B 3 - 6 Mitre: I have been saying for a while now that the Mitre have a big win in their locker and that was showed on Tuesday taking out the much fancied Plough boys. Jamie Kelly the Plough's top man yet again with 4 tons, for the Mitre it was Roy Dunlop who is hitting a fine run of form, this week 5 tons and a 180.

Stanley 1 - 8 Plough A: I thought this would have been a closer game but again to be fair the Stanley boys were missing a couple of their regulars Yukey the only bright side for them with 3 tons and a 20 darter. The Plough A had the new this year signings firing on all cylinders Gazza Uren hitting 5 ton plus scores but he was out done by Chris Wade with 4 tons a 180 and a 14dl.

RAOB 2 - 7 Bar Logo: The Logo won their first game and this was just the start of many, Alan Young again in fine form 5 ton scores and a 100 finish but the star man for the Logo and the star man of the week is debut man Andy Evans, Andy hitting 6 x 100 137 and a 140 on his way to a 17 and 18 dart game. Also worthy of a mention is Mike Jelski hitting a 180 in his win.

The Stanley have unfortunately been deducted two points for lack of result this week. Come on boys its only a result sheet and or picture message.
