Cuplas Callow's Ramsey Men's Dart Results

by isleofman.com 24th January 2014

Week 11 of the Cuplas Callow Ramsey men's darts league and its business as usual for the top two.

Plough A 7-2 Commie:

Another man making a claim on the player of the year title is Geoff Howland who had a week of tele darts 2x100 2x140 and 2x180 on his way to a 13 and 18 dart legs.  His teammate and fellow Christmas knockout finalist Gazza Uren had another blistering week with 2x20 dart legs, even the old boy Robbie Crennell got in on the act with a hall of 5 ton+ scores. For the Commie, Mick "the machine" Walsh, got his own back on Hudgie reversing the result of the last ranking comp.

Swan 6 - 3 Plough B:

Great result for the Swan boys and it keeps the pressure on the league leaders Plough A. The Swan winning all the pairs matches putting too much pressure on the Plough's singles games.  Top man for the Swan this week was Paul Arthur with 6x100+ scores and a 19 darter but to show how close it is in the race for a masters slot , Paul missing double top for a 2-0 win ended in a 2-1 lose.  The difference of that double means instead of sitting pretty in 10th place he drops to 21st place.  For the Plough, Dave Faragher, hitting fine form with 6xton+ scores and Tye Jones a 116finish.

Mitre 8 - 1 RAOB:

The Mitre continue to improve and with Roy Dunlop at the helm ,they may have a trophy on the cards before the end of the season this week, theIR star player hit 6x100 + scores. The only saving face for the orange army was a fine win for Neil Crowe, last on, so no pressure on his opponent Chris Van Buul (sorry Chris).

Commie Raven 4 - 5 Stanley:

Homer Simpson made his first appearance of the year for the Stanley and helped them to a close win against a good Commie side. Charlie hitting 4 x ton+ scores with Ross Walker and Simon McCuish both hitting 3 apiece. The Commie boys were 4-2 ahead but the rear guard couldn't get that last win.
