Island into semi-finals

by isleofman.com 25th January 2014

The Isle of Man are through to the semi-finals of the FA Inter-League Cup.

Two goals from midfielder Frank Jones and one from his St George’s team-mate Ciaran McNulty secured a 3-1 victory over the West Riding County League side at The Bowl.

Jones’ second goal, deep in injury time, sealed their place in the last four.

He had opened the scoring for the national side and, after they were pegged back, McNulty regained the Island’s lead before half-time.

Skipper Sean Quaye says it was a hard fought victory.
