A stunning photograph of children enjoying the sea and sunshine at Garwick Beach has won the government's Biosphere Vannin competition.
The striking image, that will be used to promote the Isle of Man's bid to become the first whole country to be designated a
UNESCO Biosphere reserve, was taken by Annie Eastham during an adventure day organised by the Children's Centre. Her photo was selected from more than 250 entries.
Annie said: 'I just thought the kids looked like they were having a great time and I must take a phot of that! It was a beautiful day. We took a few pictures but this one definitely captures what a magical day it was, what a fantastic place the Isle of Man is to live and what wonderful opportunities the Isle of Man has for children to play and explore.'
The six category winners were John Keggin for 'coast', overall winner Annie Eastham for 'culture', Anna Kerruish for 'farmland' and 'uplands', Tony Massey for 'glens' and Janice Farnan for 'towns/villages'.
