Trial hears from firm's former advocate

by isleofman.com 6th February 2014
A jury's been told the Attorney General was 'very accomodating' in a bid to save an Island company from collapse.

But a court's also heard how Treasury officials wanted Street Heritage wound-up after years of unpaid tax.

The comments were made by local advocate Jerry Carter on day three of the re-trial of 52 year-old Stephen Harding.

He's currently suspended as Attorney General and denies charges relating to the winding-up of the company in 2010.

Mr Carter was advocate for Street Heritage at the time.

The trial continues.
