Pupils have fashion sewn-up for Island of Culture

by isleofman.com 7th February 2014
Pupils at a Douglas primary school have been running up their own clothing collection with help from a professional fashion designer.
Former Burberry designer Calum Harvey - now based on the Island - has lent his experience in the fashion industry to youngsters at Scoill Vallajeelt.
He's taught them a range of skills, from design and fabric dyeing to printing, weaving, cutting and sewing garments.
The project, which began before Christmas, was chosen by the school to mark Island of Culture 2014.
And this week the young fashionistas have been showing off their spring collection:Clip 1
