Beware of driving license scam

Scam text messages appearing to be about driving licence renewals have been received by Island residents.

The texts claim to be from the DVLA in the UK.

But the Office of Fair Trading is warning these messages are an attempt to gain people's personal information, and are in no way affiliated with the DVLA or the Island's Vehicle Licensing Office.
