Challenge to minister's conduct vindicated says MHK

by isleofman.com 10th February 2014
The MHK who challenged the health minister's conduct in Tynwald and the House of Keys says a report into the affair vindicates her concern.
Serious shortcomings in the way senior management at the Department of Health advised David Anderson have emerged in the report by Tywnald's standards committee.
It concludes the minister inadvertently misled the House in statements he made about a letter from consultants expressing serious concerns about patient safety at Noble's Hospital.
And the report says opportunities to set the matter straight were badly mishandled by the department's chief executive, David Killip.
South Douglas member Kate Beecroft challenged Mr Anderson's position at the time.
She remains unhappy at his handling of the entire situation: Clip 1
