Overworked Knighter beaten in Barcelona

by isleofman.com 10th February 2014
David Knight has decided to stay in Spain, to get extra time on the bike, after the latest round of the SuperEnduro World Championship at the weekend.
He picked up two third-place finishes in Barcelona, but his main rival for the title, Taddy Blazusiak, won all three races to extend his lead at the top of the standings.
The buildup to the round wasn't easy for Knighter, as he found himself doing a lot of extra work, including being his own mechanic.
He took to social media afterwards, saying, "Not a good night, time to take a step back to go forward, rushing around, working on bikes, driving, not good."
Knighter has decided to not contest this coming weekend's Hell's Gate event in Italy.
He's chosen instead to focus on the following weekend's final round of the SuperEnduro World Championship in Tours, France.
