Oil Painting raises ?620

An original oil painting of the the 2013 Southern 100 Solo Champion, Guy Martin being very closely pursued by arch-rivals Michael Dunlop and Dean Harrison raised a magnificent ?620.00 at the recent Southern 100 Annual Dinner held at the Palace Hotel in Douglas.

Painted by artist Nobby Clarke this was the fourth original that the local Castletown man has donated to the club to assisting in raising funds for annual July races, which the organising club, riders, officials, marshals, medical personnel and the race enthusiasts are extremely grateful.

The Raffle also held on the evening with numerous prizes on offer brought in a total of ?515.00, this amount will also assist in the cost of organising and running the 2014 Steam Packet Southern 100 Intentional Road Races which will take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th July.
