Flood warning for rivers, roads and coastal areas

by isleofman.com 12th February 2014
Amber weather warnings have been issued for rain this morning and for coastal areas this evening.
Heavy rain this morning could see totals of 15mm around the island with double that amount in upland areas.
That could lead to standing water on the roads and a risk of localised flooding.
And with gusts of wind increasing through the day reaching up to around 80mph from this evening, there is a warning for the high tide at around 10pm.
Laxey, Douglas, Castletown, Gansey and Port St. Mary are expected to have high waves breaking over the seafronts bringing sea water and debris onshore.
