Second inconclusive end to AG trial

by isleofman.com 14th February 2014

For a second time the jury in the trial of the Island's Attorney General has been discharged after failing to reach a verdict.
After seven and a half hours of deliberations, the seven-strong jury returned to the court just after 2.30pm to tell presiding judge Deemster Peter Birkett there was no unanimity.
It's another inconclusive end to the 10-day retrial of 52-year-old Stephen Harding, who denied a charge of perjury and committing acts against public justice.
