Dilemma over next step in AG case

Prosecutors in the Isle of Man face what is thought to be an unprecedented legal dilemma after a jury failed to reach a verdict at the re-trial of Attorney General Stephen Harding.
For the second time, a jury in the case of 52-year old Mr Harding, accused of committing perjury and acts against public justice, told the judge at Douglas courthouse they could not find unanimity.
The jury was discharged (14 Feb) by presiding judge Deemster Peter Birkett after he heard there was no realistic prospect of the seven members reaching agreement following more than seven hours of deliberation
Manx Radio journalist James Davis has reported on both trials and expects the next step to be decided quickly:
