Meeting tonight for anglers

by isleofman.com 27th February 2014

Reservoir anglers are being encouraged to attend an open meeting ahead of the start of the fishing season.

It's been organised jointly by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture and Troutlodge, which supplies rainbrow trout to the Island's reservoirs, and takes place at 7.30pm tonight at the Creg ny Baa.

DEFA Minister Phil Gawne said: 'With its picturesque rivers and reservoirs, and stunning, varied coastline, the Isle of Man provides an enviable variety of opportunities for anglers. DEFA will continue to work with stakeholders and other departments to conserve our marine and freshwater fish populations, and promote the wonderful angling the Island offers for both residents and visitors.'
