Bequest sows seeds for heritage garden at Arbory School

A heritage garden is to be established at Arbory Primary School.
It follows an award of ?38,000 from Manx National Heritage from the legacy of the late Colby resident John Donald "Donny" Collister.
The project will be based in the garden area at the back of the school playing fields.
The aim is to develop traditional skills and use the knowledge and experience of local people in the community as well as developing a sense of pride and place for the youngsters.
Head Teacher at Arbory Jonathan Ayres says the details of the scheme are still being planned:
