Bookings for extra London City air services 'encouraging'

A month before the start of BA CityFlyer's increased service to the UK capital, the airline says it will stay on the route for the long-term - if passengers use it.
British Airways agreed to provide extra flights to London City from the end of March, after a deal was struck with a local business organisation to underwrite the operation.
That was greeted with relief by the Island's business community, with Flybe due to pull out of Gatwick next month.
The three-times-daily CityFlyer service will ensure Manx passengers can spend a full working day in London, with an early morning departure and evening return.
Commercial general manager for BA CityFlyer Luke Hayhoe says advance bookings are steady but the message remains 'use it or lose it' as the company will not allow the route to run at a loss for a second time:
