Toilet Tax to produce less money, says MHK

by isleofman.com 5th March 2014
West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas believes the Sewerage levy or so-called Toilet Tax will bring in less money than originally thought.

He asked another question of Water Authority Chairman John Houghton in the House of Keys this week.

Mr Thomas believes a lack of proper consultation with the public and local authorities before the controversial charge was approved by Tynwald means costs in bringing it in are now higher.

He believes it would better to delay it's introduction for a year to allow a proper examination of all the complexities to take place and make the charge fairer:Clip 1
