King William’s College grounds to play host to Activate Sport in August

by isleofman.com 11th March 2014

An Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy, an International Netball Roadshow, and a Hockey Masterclass are to be held at King William’s College this summer.

Hailed as a chance to learn new skills and have great fun in a safe environment, the cricket academy will run from 3rd to the 8th of August, the netball from 3rd to 6th August, and the hockey masterclass on 7th and 8th August.

An International Athlete or Sporting Role Model will visit each academy and share their tips, expertise and experiences during the activities. Each sporting event is open to children across the Isle of Man aged 5 to 12 and will utilise the King William’s College grounds and facilities.

Activate Sport operates more than 200 weeks of sport and activity camps throughout the UK every year. This is the first time that one of the camps has come to the Isle of Man.

To find out more about each academy or to make a reservation, visit www.activatesport.co.uk or telephone 01785 711 572.
