Education minister criticised for shared services plans

by isleofman.com 11th March 2014
The education minister has come under fire in the House of Keys over plans to centralise services in Island schools.

Catering, caretaking and maintenance are due to be brought together in a move to share government services.

It's claimed it will save more than ?4 million a year.

Today, Tim Crookall was criticised over cost-saving plans to use imported milk and bread in schools.

However, Mr Crookall said children's dietary requirements would still be met and said headteachers had been spoken to.

It seems that only happened after the policy was decided upon, though:Clip 1
