Acting AG expected to remain in post for now

by isleofman.com 11th March 2014
The Island's acting Attorney General is expected to stay in post beyond March 18.

That's when John Quinn's 12-month term is due to expire; but in the House of Keys this morning Treasury Minister Eddie Teare revealed the Ministry of Justice was considering extending the period.

Attorney General Stephen Harding remains suspended from the post, despite being cleared of two criminal charges a fortnight ago.

Mr Teare said the acting AG had acted 'professionally and with the highest standards' over the past year.

He added further changes were being considered, too:Clip 1
