Future is bright for motorcycling on the Island

by isleofman.com 11th March 2014
Investment in motorcycling events in the Isle of Man is paying off.

That's according to Economic Development Minister John Shimmin, whose department is responsible for the TT and Festival of Motorcycling.

According to Treasury Figures, visitor numbers have increased by a third since 2009, which in turn has put eight-million pounds into the economy.

Plans for this year's TT have been revealed, including entertainment being taken Island-wide, an open air music event in the Villa Marina gardens and the return of the Red Arrows.

North One has been given the contract to cover the event for another two years after boasting a near tripling of viewing figures in the past five years.

Mr Shimmin believes the future is bright.Clip 1
