The family of an 11-year-old boy involved in an accident with a bus yesterday has praised the emergency services.

Billy Moore was taken to Noble's hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after the incident at the bottom of the Garey Road in Onchan.

His family have thanked everyone for their concern and support, and praised medical staff for their work.

They also express their concern for the wellbeing of the bus driver.

His father says Billy suffered a broken leg as well as cuts and bruises, and has been flown to Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool for treatment.
