Isle of Man Sport is delighted to announce that tickets are now available from the Villa Box Office for the 2013 Isle of Man Bank Sports Awards. The event takes place on the 10 April 2014 at the Royal Hall, Villa Marina with Rebecca Adlington, former Double Olympic Swimming Champion this year’s guest of honour.
As well as the various awards categories, the most prestigious of which are Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year, the evening will also include the presentation of Sports Aid Scholarships for those young athletes who will be supported by Isle of Man Sport Aid in 2014-15. In addition, there will also be a special Lifetime Achievement Award plus some further inductions into the Hall of Fame, located at the National Sports Centre.
IOM Sport Vice Chairman, Gary Corkhill, commented:
“There has been lots of interest and comment about this year’s nominations so we are hoping for a bumper turnout on the night to hear the award winners announced. For those who have not attended the event before, it is a real eye opener of what is going on in the local sporting world and a very good evening’s entertainment.”
