Watch out for Scarlet Fever

There's been a significant rise in the number of children contracting Scarlet Fever on the Island.


Seven cases have been confirmed since the beginning of the year, in contrast to 11 for the whole of 2013.


The pattern reflects numbers in the UK, where it's been reported cases have reached a 24-year high.


Scarlet fever is predominently contracted by childen between two and eight, and Dr Parameswaran Kishore, the Isle of Man's director of public health, says parents should seek medical help: Clip 1
