Port Erin's Mantons Cards selected as finalist in gift retailer award

by isleofman.com 17th March 2014

It's official! Port Erin's Mantons Cards is one of the best gift retailers in the UK, and has been selected as a finalist in The Greats gift retailer awards, for the second year running.

The Greats Awards, now in their 12th year, were launched to recognise and reward the UK's very best gift retailers across the retail spectrum.

"These dedicated awards for gift retailers have risen immeasurably in status over the years and are now universally acknowledged as being true accolades of excellence," commented Sue Marks, editor of Progressive Gifts & Home. "Being selected as a finalist is a fantastic achievement. There was a huge entry this year, with some outstanding, first class entries."

"After winning a Retas award as the UK's best greeting card shop, everyone at Mantons is delighted to again be named as a Greats Finalist, especially as we are the only Manx company to ever achieve this honour" commented Mantons joint owner Chris Beards. "This is well deserved recognition for all the hard work and commitment to help customers which is something all of the team at Mantons takes pride in".

All retail finalists were decided as a result of an industrywide poll of gift suppliers, reps and agents and validation by a panel of experts.

The winners of this year’s prestigious gift retailing awards - The Greats 2014 – will be revealed at an Awards lunch at the glamorous Savoy Hotel in London on Thursday May 8.

The Awards recognise and celebrate not only the top independent and multiple gift retailers regionally and nationally, but also outstanding retail employees.
