Crookall admits centralisation not right for all

The minister for education and children has admitted some headteachers on the Island might not support the centralisation of things like catering and caretaking.

Tim Crookall has told Tynwald schools had sometimes been getting the same supplies for different prices.

He said centralisation would stop that happening in future, and maintained school heads were still in charge of major parts of their budgets.

But, when challenged by Michael MHK Alf Cannan, Mr Crookall admitted it might not be good news for some smaller local businesses:Clip 1
