Home Affairs statement following Michael Davidson Inquest

The Department of Home Affairs have issued a statement following the Inquest expresses their condolences to Mr Davidson’s family and friends.

They state that they respect the jury’s finding in this matter, as recorded by the Coroner of Inquests.

And that a comprehensive review has already taken place since Mr Davidson’s death and measures have been introduced to improve procedures and communication between agencies.

They went on to add that appropriate steps will now be taken to address the recommendations made by the Coroner of Inquests.
