Isle of Man Youth Dart Manx Masters this weekend

by isleofman.com 21st March 2014

This Saturday is a big day in the history of the Isle of Man youth darts scene as the Isle of Man Darts Organisation in conjunction with the Isle of Man Darts Academy have the first, of hopefully many, competitions, and they don't come much bigger than the Isle of Man Youth Manx Masters. For those that fancy a throw they can either re-enter by contacting Paul Arthur on 216082 or just turn up on Saturday at 2pm, the venue is the Falcons Nest, Port Erin and entry is ?2.

We had our third week of the Academy on Wednesday and what a fantastic night we had.  21 hardy souls stepped up to the oche and we had a right good laugh which is what its all about.  Looking at the improvement in standard already I'm looking forward to Saturday's competition as well as the kids.  There was a new kid on the block tonight and it's about time there was a new Jug playing darts. Freddie Craine proving it may have missed a generation but he can throws a mean dart as well as scratching his knee on the tarmac. Another who has come on hugely in two weeks is young Tegan Perry believe me boys this girl has it all. Perfect 100 followed later in the night with t20 t20 then the nerves got to her. Also a 72 finish well done Tegan. The Kennaugh duo were also impressive tonight and I have to say Miss Kennaugh you were quite correct the girls do seem to be better than the boys, come on lads we aren't having that are we? We also have a young score caller in the making with even younger Fletch Faragher well done mate great counting.

After the comp on Saturday we shall get the leagues started on Wednesday.
