Jewellery and cash stolen

by isleofman.com 24th March 2014

Police are investigating a suspected burglary in Douglas.

They want to speak to anybody in the area of Castlemona Avenue between about 11.30am and 3.30pm on Saturday.

Police say a number of items were taken, including a quantity of cash and jewellery. A spokesman said: 'Officers would like to speak to anybody in the area at the time, including the rear lane parallel to Castlemona Avenue, or anybody who has become aware of persons suddenly being in possession of a quantity of unexplained cash or have seen anyone in the area carrying a small brown aged plastic suitcase.'

Members of the public are being asked to be vigilant should they be offered items such as the cufflinks (pictured) as gifts or for sale.
