Canon Gillespie looking forward to welcoming new Archbishop

by isleofman.com 24th March 2014
The leader of the Roman Catholic church in the Isle of Man says he's looking forward to welcoming the new Archbishop of Liverpool to the Island.
The Right Reverend Malcolm McMahon will succeed Archbishop Patrick Kelly, who stepped down over a year ago, following a period of ill health.
He takes immediate control of the Catholic churches in an area which covers Liverpool, the south west of Greater Manchester, west Lancashire and the Isle of Man.
Canon Philip Gillespie, who is based in St Mary's church in Douglas, listened to the archbishop-elect's first address, in which he paid tribute to his predecessors and pledged himself to the service of the people of the archdiocese:Clip 1
