Police probe suspected burglary

Cash and jewellery were taken from a flat in Douglas on Saturday.

Police are probing a suspected burglary in Castlemona Avenue between around 11.30am and 3.30pm.

Officers would like to speak to anybody who was in the area at the time, including the back lane parallel to Castlemona Avenue; if you know of anyone with a quantity of unexplained cash or anyone who was seen carrying a small brown aged plastic suitcase in the area.

Members of the public are asked to be vigilant should they be offered similar items as gifts or for sale.
