Keys urged to think about ferry competition

Should other ferry companies have the chance to talk to the government before the linkspan user agreement with the Steam Packet Company is extended?
West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas thinks so – and will quiz Infrastructure Minister Laurence Skelly on the issue later today.
In the House of Keys this morning, he’ll ask the minister whether there’ll be an open call for expressions of interest before the agreement is extended beyond 2026.
Mr Thomas says more companies now seem to be willing to consider setting up services to and from the Island:
