Zurich International Life – committed to Island of Culture 2014

by isleofman.com 25th March 2014

‘As a company responsible for more than 400 people in the Isle of Man and with a deep-seated sense of corporate social responsibility Zurich is proud to be an Island of Culture 2014 financial partner,’ says chief executive officer Clive Baker.

‘Zurich has been operating in the Island for 32 years now and in that time has demonstrated its enduring commitment not only to its shareholders, staff and customers but also to the local community. In 2013, for example, Zurich donated ?45,000 to charities in the Isle of Man, with staff getting behind local causes, raising funds and also volunteering their time.

‘The Zurich Group has a caring culture and encourages its people to connect with the communities in which it operates. While our core business is insurance and looking after our customers to protect them from risk, we are also very proud of the contribution we make in our local communities through staff participation initiatives. Similarly we applaud the contribution that Island of Culture 2014 will undoubtedly make to enriching the Island’s artistic and cultural life. It is against this background that we are delighted to be supporting the year’s celebrations in our capacity as a financial partner.’
