Nigerian convicted of assaulting judge

by isleofman.com 25th March 2014
A man who ran amok in a courtroom, assaulting a judge and two advocates, will be sentenced next month.

That’s after a jury took less than two hours to return guilty verdicts against 46 year-old Anthony Adenaike.

The Nigerian has been bailed to live at his cousin’s home in Greenwich until he returns to court on April the 29th.

Adenaike was found guilty of four charges of assault, two occasioning actual bodily harm, and one of affray.

It follows an incident during a court hearing last March when he was appealing against the dismissal of his employment tribunal case.
