Pupils of Braddan Primary School have been discovering the lives of WWI soldiers.
Each child was given a Braddan soldier to research, and with help from Manx National Heritage and their grandparents, have unearthed their stories.
It's 100 years since the outbreak of the Great War, and the children also collected artefact from their own family members who served in the armed forces.
As well as a trip to the iMuseum, a collection of letters, postcards, medals and photographs brought the investigations to life.
Teacher Lisa Nelson says The children developed a real connection with “their” soldier, particularly those who found that they live next door to their soldiers’ addresses.
For the children of our school, the brave men of Braddan who fought in WW1 are no longer just names on the war memorial: they are men whose amazing stories need to be remembered.
The children are displaying their research on the website www2.sch.im/groups/war/, and will hold a public open afternoon on Friday 4th April, from 2pm to 3.30pm.
