Regent Street to host monthly craft fairs

by isleofman.com 26th March 2014

The newly regenerated Regent Street in Douglas is to be the setting for monthly craft fairs.

The fairs, to be held on the last Saturday of every month starting on Saturday March 29th, will run from 10am to 4.30pm and serve as a showcase for some of the finest handmade craft products the Isle of Man has to offer.

The events are being coordinated by the Manx Craft Guild and stallholders must be guild members to take part.

Douglas town centre manager Michelle O’Malley said: ‘Regent Street, with its inviting new look, is now very much at the social heart of Douglas and lends itself to all kind of community events. Handmade products are unfailingly popular and the Isle of Man has a wealth of talented crafters who, I am sure, will relish this opportunity to promote their skills and offer discerning customers a choice of quality gift ideas that are distinctively Manx.’
