Post Office Licencing Department announces expansion plans for Trade & Emergency Services counter

Isle of Man Post Office in collaboration with the Department of Infrastructure have announced details of expansion plans to its dedicated trade and emergency services counter based at the Isle of Man Business Park in Douglas. The extended services will be available from 1st April 2014.
 
The trade and emergency counter service currently handles the acceptance and production of emergency driving licences whilst customers wait for an additional sum of ?33 per transaction, licence types include full, provisional & duplicate driving licences. From April 1st onwards it will expand to also offer upgrades, endorsement removal and international driving permits. However those wishing to exchange a licence or that have answered yes to any medical questions within the application forms must instead submit the form at the Department of Infrastructure Licensing Department in the Sea Terminal Buildings.
 
In addition, for vehicles; new registration documents, duplicate registration documents, change of ownership, re-registrations, export certificates, cherished number certificates and vehicle export documents will be able to be issued using the emergency service.
 
Stephen Webster, Licencing Manager, Isle of Man Post Office said: “We are delighted to be in a position to be able to offer customers additional emergency licence and vehicle document services at our Douglas based trade and emergency services counter from the 1st of April.  It will provide customers with the ability to obtain additional documents at short notice if necessary. The services have been introduced following feedback received from our customers and we are pleased to be able to meet their needs in this way.
