Vikings A retain double hopes

by isleofman.com 31st March 2014
Vikings A remain on course for a league and cup double.

That’s after the runway Premier League leaders saw off Valkyrs A in the Women’s Cup.

Doubles from sisters Kim and Zoe Carney and one apiece from Sarah Blackman and Chelsea Bawden fired them to a 6-1 victory.

Imogen Manning netted the Valkyrs’ consolation.

The Island under 14 hockey teams also performed well in their trip to Chester.

The girls’ team won two of their three matches, while the boys won one, drew one and lost one of their games.

Sam Riordan (five), Freya Duchars (three), Will Greenbank, Billy Cain, Jessica Hill, Callum Robb, Nan Williams and Nicole Corlett were the Island goalscorers.
