Early Entries for 2014 Manx Grand Prix Encouraging

With nine weeks until entries close the for 2014 Manx Grand Prix which take place between 16th – 29th August as part of the Festival of Motorcycling entries are encouraging according to Club Chairman Harvey Garton.

So far the organising Manx Motor Cycle Club has received 208 entries for this years races. Included are 34 riders entered in the opening race of the event, the Newcomers Race with all but two also entered in the main Manx Grand Prix Races, the Junior; SuperTwin / Lightweight and the ‘blue-riband’ Senior, each run over four laps, 150.92-miles of the Snaefell Mountain Course.

The Senior and Junior Grands Prix have 57 and 55 applications to date, with the concurrently run SuperTwin and Lightweight race 41 & 21 respectively.

The Newcomers Race is split into three classes, (run concurrently) with entries received being Class A – 18; Class B – 11 and Class C – 5.

Entries for the 2014 Manx Grand Prix close on Saturday 8th June, with Regulations and other information available via the official website: www.manxgrandprix.org.
